I was lookin through a local junkyard because i was told that a starion was there..unfortunatley i found it already stripped..but i was in luck a saab 900 had just arrived with a turbo. so after about 2 hours of work i pulled the entire turbo unit including the exhaust manifold off the car and payed 40 bucks for it. i did a search and found that its a garrett t3 with 42 a/r compressor side and 48 a/r exhaust side.......its in great shape and i was wonderin if its worth putting on my car? and if it will be better then my junky t25

Well i doubt the exhaust manifold will fit on the dsm so forget about that as far as the turbo the AR's are OK but what kind of wheels are in there?

i dont know about the wheels i just doubted the trubo becuase it doesnt look much larger then stock but i figured everyone talks about t3s so i would give it a shot..i was gonna go with a 16g but this turbo was only 40 bucks so if it will work for more power then im goin with it

Actaully now that I look 42 on the Compressor side is small.

I would waste the time It will cost more money to try and mate that thing to your DSM than it would to get a dsm-specific turbo and that T3 turbo probably will not perform much better at all than the T-25

but, for $40, you can sell that on Ebay or at a Saab board, or even in the local papers. You will get more than your cost, probably 3 times that or more. Good find.

my suggestion

EBAY and include keywords RICE HONDA CIVIC FAST AND FURIOUS JDM EDM EURO TURBO INTERCOOLER, etc

i'm sure some moron ricer with a project car will want it and be willing to pay 200-300 for it. a 14B is ~ the same size if not bigger then any saab or even volvo turbo ever released....

if you were buidling a cheap TT 302 these would be a good turbo, though not as big as the MT SVO/capri/xr6ti
