engine swap Q?

i just bought a 90 GSX shell and want to drop a 92 engine in it i also got a new(well new to me..used) tranny and what do i all need to complete this swap? anyone ever done it im sure you have, just want to know what to and what not to do.

Any reason why you want to drop a 92 engine in? Are they better, am i missing something? Or do you just have the 92 engine already, but as long as its a 6 bolt you should be ok. I know with the 90 there are some things that are different from the 91-94 setup. Ecu, coil pack, tranny, and some other things......anybody else care to elaborate

i already have the 92 engine out of the car i totalled a couple of weeks ago, and yea the 6 bolt is the better of the engines

If the tranny is out of the 92 youll have to swap the cables and shifter assembly as well. But the 92 tranny is way better than the 90. Youll have to use a 90 coil pack, CAS, ECU, and TBody as well. But it shouldn't be a prob the engines are exact as long as its 6bolt to 6bolt.

is it hard to swap shifter cables and assembly? and why exactly would i need this? if i have both 92 tranny and engine? also CAS, and coilpack?
