homemade uicp

ok so ive done a search for this and i find nothing. i found on vfaq a way to make your own uicp. Just got to buy a peice of mandrel bent 2.5 inch pipe and then use silicone to connect it to part of the stock uicp right before the bov and then to the smic. What do you guys think? am i being a cheap as$. or will this work pretty much the same. i noticed that a lot of uicp for sale are only 2.25 inch in diameter so would this homemade one be even better? if you want to check out the design go here

thats what i thought too. it looks real clean not like some cheap peice of crap. the only problem i thought may be is if the stock uicp right under the bov has a small diameter. anyone know what the diameter is?

Its very simple to have an exhaust shop make you some bends for cheap for the uicp then all you have to do is weld it together and put on the BOV. maybe go to a machine shop and have then weld a flange on.

If u want a good UICP at a good price let me know, I can get u 1 with everything for a good price ! And the best part is they'll be powder caoted in n e color u want ! And that Idea.... 1 word ! GHETTO !

how much? i dont think its too ghetto. it would work the same as a bought one if not better and it would still cost around 40 dollars.
