EGT Install?

Does anyone know where a better how-to can be found for how to install an EGT gauge? The two from vfaq are not that great. Since the manifold is off the car I was going to drill the hole and then just put a corresponding plug in the hole. Will that be ok until I get the gauge? I don't want to do it on the car and risk damaging a $1800 investment. Thanks

I would drill it now, while you have it off, & plug it til you're ready. Check these 2 sites for more info.
