I was just wondering if it is possible to eliminate the whole cruise control unit from my 90' GSX. Is there a way just to run 1 cable from the pedal to the T-body?

yes, just purchase a new cable at the dealership from a car that has no cruise control. I just bought the cable at RRE for $23, took all of like 5 minutes to install, once you have the new cable you can remove the whole Cruise control box and toss it.

Well my cruise really doesnt work to begin with, plus my throttle isnt opening all the way so I just wanna bypass that thing all together. I guess it would clean things up a little too. Hey kaane is it a full cable fom the firewall to T-body? can you gimme more details about it? Thanks

Was it easy to get the cable through the firewall? Im not sure if there is more room between the intake manifold and the firewall on a 1g, but on a 2g there isnt much room in there. Also, did you have to 'tune' it at all? Im under the impression if you dont bolt the new one on to the tb in the right position the throttle plate will either not close properly or be open all the time.

Factory part number is MB539465, I,m also doing this to my 90 GSX. Give it a try, I have faith in you, just close you eyes and use the Force Luke.

Isn't the Cruise Controll in the way of the aftermarket Intercooler pipes on 90's?

YES! Big time. I had to do this to install my UPIC.. The unit sits right infront of the battery box instead of along the firewall.. so it's a real PITA..
