Princeton,
just wondering if anyone is using the HKS super sequential BOV, my friend has one still in the box and he offered to sell it to me for like 150 bucks. but it looks like what ever it gets mounted to needs to be welded on. just curious if anyone has any experience with it. also, can you vent it back into the intake pipe?
thanks

I had the HKS...It sounds good vented but recirculated all you'll hear is the "CHH-CHH" sound like compressor surge....It's like the same sound (when venting) when you let off @ low boost....You don't need to weld anything if you get the KIT made for our cars either....

im running hks ssqv.. pretty good blow off valve.. no problems yet.. except running rich since its vented to atmosphere at the moment =x

yea.. if your friend is just selling you the universal hks ssqv kit.. ur going to have mount the flange on ur ic pipe.. i wouldnt put it on the stock uip..

get the recirculation piece or kit to recirculate..

id get it. i love it. i didnt check your mod list but if u still have the stock upper ic, go with a dejon upper ic. then all u need to do is take the c clamp and clamp it to the flange on the ic pipe.:thumb: yes im running rich. need to work on that yet.:p

I'm using the HKS Sequential BOV, and I have had no problems. Since my UIC piping was all custom made out of aluminum, we had to cut a hole in the pipe and use the flange suppiled by HKS. It was no big deal and for $150 you can;t go wrong. Hope that helps you out.:p

Question? Those of you who vent the HKS SSQV and have problems running too rich, is that with or with out a S-AFC?

If you vent, you will run rich between shifts, regardless of using an SAFC or not. I use the HKS, and dont like it very much. Mine is recirculated. Dont use the hose with the recirc kit. Buy one that ismuch larger. This helps a bit. The ONLY reason I use it, is because I run upwards of 30psi. If I werent running anything over 23psi, I would just use a 1G. I still think it delivered the best driveability out of the 4 cbvs I have tried.
