Hello fellow DSMers I had some modification questions - Thank you for all of your knowledge and info -

Okay I just got a 16g killer turbo (please don't laugh at it - I got a good deal on it). So Any way, I was wondering about what modifications I need to go with it. I went to the local race shop and they told me the following -

Fuel Pump 190
Downpipe
Cat back
High flow cat
BOV
Boost Controller
SAFC
550 Injectors
Intercooler

So here is the question - Do i really need to go with the Injectors - SAFC - and Intercooler? I wanted to follow the 300 Hosepower path. And according to the dsm tuning guide injectors, the safc and intercooler are not needed unless you want stage 2 - is this true?

If you want 300 horsepower then get them. Simple, crank or wheel it doesnt matter. You will be able to take advanatage of your turbo as you will be safer running more boost...

you will need the afc. if you want, you can hold out on the intercooler until later, but from what i hear a good frontmount makes an amazing difference in power.

Will anything bad happen to my enigine if I put the turbo on without the injectors and SAFC -

It sound like you will be getting the cat-back and dp, personally speaking that is an excellent starting point. You would notice changes even with the T-25 with those mods. (I see you've already done the intake.)

You will get more lag on a larger turbo but I think you will feel the extra power. The T-25 spools fast but loses power in the higher rpms. You also won't be able to run as much boost because you'll max out your fuel system. Boost is addictive so you'll probably be doing something with the fuel system and ECU sooner or later. MARK MY WORDS!!

Get a 1g bov and a D.Brode UICP for a cheap easy solution.

if that's all the power you want, i've read a lot of good things about getting a supra smic and throwing that in. granted, you will need bigger upper and lower icp, but still much less than the cost of a fmic, and your car will still look stock
