I know the answer is yes but will I be able to get by without one for a little while as long as i keep the boost down or does this not matter. I just bought a TDO5 18g and fuel pump, therefore a little low on funds. What model egt gauges do you guys reccomend and where should I get it 4 a good price?

If you keep ur boost down and pump high octane gas, I don't believe that you'll need a EGT yet.....

As for which EGT to get.... I've heard that the hottest that the 4g63 engine should run at is 1600F/900C so just get a gauge that'll read higher than that :thumb:

Personally I think EGT gauges are useless. I have one in my fwd but the only gauge in my awd is a boost gauge....Just get a logger and be done with it....

Useless what the hell are you talking about egt gauges are essential of tuning. If you just get a logger and tune with it, how the hell are you going to know if your running to hot. When it runs at 900 its basically perfect. if you run to hot. DANGER. Yeah egt's are useless.

:thumb: They are far from useless.
