Ok i didn't know what forum to post this under but is the 4g63 engine capable of withstanding high reving? I never rode with nayone else who had a turbo dsm so i never knew how to really drive the thing correctly. I have a 95 fwd tsi and i'm guessing like every other fwd dsm that when you hit the gas in 1st the tires don't grip and those rpm's jump very quickly. In first usually shift at 6800-7000( most of the time being pretty close to 7 grand) in second about 6500-6800 and all other gears around 6500. Is this who your supposed to drive when your racing ( not everyday driving) or just trying to impress someone
When i first got my car i was messing around coming out of a tollbooth and i miss shifted from 2nd to 3rd and hit rev limiter around 7200 i think and then fuel cut which was a big no no. But is this engine pretty strong to high reving or do you need to be careful?????
