Here is the deal. I did the six bolt swap, but after getting everything done, fouond I had a beat block. I know I should have done all this the first time around, but thought I could just do with what I had until spring. But, of course, nothing goes my way. I have been conteplating on many different options. I don't have a lot of money to spend, so I was going to buy OEM 95 pistons .030 - .040 over and put them on 1G big rods. Or, find a good deal on JE's or Ross pistons. Your input is in every way appreciated. Thanks, Martin.

if you're going for 11's, you obviously are spending the money to get there, so go with the forged. you can get a set of wiseco forged .020 over pistons for $399 with rings and wrist pins. running 11s means A LOT of tuning, and the forged piston will be A LOT more resistent to detonation as compared to their cast stock counterparts. :thumb:

Wiescos seems to be the hot ticket these days. For $399 with rings, its hard to pass up. 2g pistons are $300 (with rings) or so, and then add the machine work, and your could have just ran weiscos with big rods.

I got the JE's 9:1. I am getting the mitsu metal head gasket from conicelli's for $65. I paid $250 for the pistons, wrist pins, and piston rings. I could'n't pass. They have less than 2k miles, and was assured to be perfect. The person that built the motor prior didn't do such a hot job. The guy is also sponsored by somebody, I forget who, and has to bore out the block, so these won't fit his block anymore.

95Tsiawd11s are you planning to run nitrous?

I am considering what pistons to run Im hoping for low 12s, mabey nitrous in the future, will the 2G pistons be ok with a 150 shot?

I am not running nitrous, nor do i plan to. The car ran 11.7 without nitrous, and I plan to hit low 11's. My friend on the other hand is using nitrous and said he wouldn't recommend stock pistons for nitrous, unless you get the forged ones. My friend told me to bite the bullet and goes for the name brand pistons. Even though, it is heard of that people run 10's with stock pistons, I don't want to take that chance. Hope i was of help.

Yeah that helped thamks. I didn't think running nitrous on the stockers would be good, but I heard 10's on them but I wasn't sure if that was with nitrous or not. I'll probably get forged but which brand?
