flooded with fuel question

I have a qusetion i have an external fuel pump on my car and i have a switch set in my car that turns the fuel pump on and off. well any how my little sister went in the car and left the fuel pump on for about 8 minutes, I want to know what can i do because my car dont want to start and it smells like gas and i pulled my spark plug wires out and they are wet with gas. what can i do to get my car runing again thanx for the help guys

why were you letting your sister play with your car

just had to chime in, wish i had better advice other than not to let a younger sibling (i'm assuming she's younger) drive your dsm, just ask cucumber...

I dont have the best answer but from what I recall if you flood the engine your best bet is to just let the car sit and it will start later once the fuel has recirculated.

The only other option I can think of would be to turn off the fuel pump and start the car if possible and let it burn off the fuel?

wait, what? why the heck should the plug wires have gas on em? I think if they do, then thats completely unrelated to the fuel pump being left on.
