do i need the stock ignitor can i remove it?

Ok i search before i posted here the story. I am running an aem ems. I had my stock ignitor go bad last night i barrowed one for the time being. I was wondering do i really need this anymore? is there away to remove it? and what do i need to have so i can remove it ? thanks for the help guys!

You will need to wire an msd-dis2 into your aem, and run the coils off that. Since MDS's have a problem going out, if you got the dis4, when one channel went ot, you could wire it into the other channel.

You could also look at other brands, but they need to have a built in ignitor. I have not hear of anyone getting the AEM Twinfire's "claimed" built in ignitor to work. The stock transistor module also has a tach output, so you will need to have the AEM box drive that as well.

You may want to experiment changing the dwell settings from all cdi to mitsubishi and vice versa to see what works best with your setup. You will need to change it to Dodge Viper dwell if you are using a 300m COP setup.
