[RESOLVED] Ok to lengthen Dynatek wires?

I want to mount my dynatek arc-2 under my battery plate, but the wires aren't long enough. Would it be ok to lengthen the wires as long as I used the same type of wire, soldered them and heat-shrinked them? Has anyone else done this successfully? I've tried getting ahold of Dyntek to ask them, but that's impossible.

I just got off the phone with them and they said you can mount it anywhere as long as you lengthen the wires properly.

How were you trying to? All I did was call and someone picked up very shortly after.

1st attempt: I called, pressed 2 for tech. service, waited on hold for 21 minutes.
2nd attempt: I called, pressed 0 for operator, went to voice mail, left message, no return call.
3rd attempt: I filled out an online questionaire, no return email.
4th attempt: I called, pressed 0 for operator, got a direct extension for larry.
5th attempt: I called, pressed Larry's extension, left a message, no return call.

These were at different times beginning yesterday and ending today.

You must have been touched by the hand of God to have gotten ahold of them that easily.

I must have! I called, pressed 2, and someone picked up within 30 seconds or so.

But, this is good to know as I was wondering it too. I'm not sure if I dig the typical mounting spot over the drivers motor mount.

I agree. It looks terrible. I'm moving mine, though, because I don't want anyone to see it. I'm trying to build a sleeper. Well, as much of a sleeper as I can and still have the parts I want. So, this ignition will be under the battery plate, completely hidden.
