How to tell 16g from "big 16g"

How can you tell the difference between a 16g and a "big" 16g? Is it possible to tell without taking the turbo apart?

you can easily tell the difference by looking at the compressor wheel.

I cant look at them and tell them apart. Removing the compressor housing and measuring the wheel is the best way.

Big16g compressor cover has to be profiled different for the bigger compressor wheel (inducer ). You do have to know what you are looking for though.
