Well I have done it twice witout air tools. I will take at least a couple hours.

ok well can i get to all the bolts easy from up top or do i have to go underneath?

I wouldn't say easy.

You will have bruised arms from shoving it under the IM but going from the bottom is harder.

its very simple, just takes a little while... there are to nuts and the rest are bolts. Once those come off all you need to do it take off the plate from the throttle cable, egr, fuel rail setup and its out

ok thanks alot, i appreciate it... the rest of the head job should be "fairly" easy

Don't forget the two 14's underneathe on that bracket that 'holds the intake manifold up' that yu have to get at from underneathe, and like a 3 foot long extension.

Regards,

You can get them from the top. Pull the battery first, or you will hate yourself.

As far as I'm concerned, the worst part is the *&%^$&^%$ mess of vacuum hoses. You definitely want to tag the suckers, or you'll never get the rotten thing to run right again.

HEAD JOB? if that's the case keep intake mani on and just take two bolts that hold the bracket and just remove the head with intake mani.

leave her on there? i was thinkin that too myself. i still have to take the rail and all the hoses and all off tho too.

the thing is, i have no compression in #2 i have a thread in the diagnosis section, cant figure it out... burt valve, hole in piston, ring land, head gasket, cracked head... ive run out of ideas with it so i gotta pull the head off anyways and see.... thanks for all the help guys, greatly appreciated
