I just took my valve cover off and noticed that the cams are cast with a b on them the b's are located between 3 and 4 cyl. any info of what cams they are would be great. i got the motor out of a yard but the head looks brand new and i have a stock cam and there is no b Cast on them

Well I know my HKS cams have 264 and 272 etched into them so yours aren't hks.

i looked at some stock ones and didnt see a b stamped on them there actually raised up b's on the cam in 2 spots per cam

They are stock cams. There is, I believe, A-D stamped ob the various years. I think Leon Reittman had a post a while ago about which ones where from what, but to answer your question.... you got stock cams.
