I just installed this setup on my car and as usual it is a work of art, nice work BR ! I was able to sell my old ( like new ) BR 3" exhaust, so it was fairly cheap for me to do.
I can say that this is NOT for a daily driver, it sounds bad ass, but it is very loud. Here is a quick video ( not dial up friendly ). I weighed both sytems and the 3.5" is actually 5 pounds lighter than the 3"

I was going to reply and say is a 3.5" exhaust really necesary? Then I looked at your signature and though Im sure 3" was still enough, 3.5" will not hurt ya huh :)

Any noticeable power difference?

Larry,
the car won't see the street until late March, I don't drive it in the winter up here in New England :D I am not expecting big power gains from it, but it was fairly cheap for me to do ( I sold my BR 3" system ). The car made 494 HP and 406 Ft lbs. of torque ( before the exhaust ).
I can say this is NOT for a daily driver, it is even louder in person.

damnit, wont let me play the video....did you go with the 3.5" DP as well or just the exhaust? do you have any pics of it that you could possibly post? ive been interested in this same exhaust but cant seem to find any pics

I'm pretty sure that's the case. I do know he did it on the stock bottom and and I THINK just a cleaned up head. :)

That car is all NewEngDSM pride!
It represents what Most of us in the club would like out of our own cars:

1.Cleaner than new
2.Proven mods
3.Hardcore Hard-parts (3.5", FP RED)
4.Nice owner. (He could tell people to F@#$ off, but hes quite nice and likes to help fellow DSMrs)
5.Did I say it was *REally Clean!?

I know that the engine mods consist of Stock short block minus balance shafts, and ARPs/Crower Springs & retainers. After that its all BOost, Race gas, and getting the car up the 1320 in one piece.

This year the NewEngDSM club will be rooting for that 10 second pass!

Take a lesson from these guys, they know thier chit!

Nick

Here is a comparison between the 3" and the 3.5 " and yes I went with
the downpipe as well. Again this is NOT for a daily driver

Yes. It seems people already replied for me ;) But it was done on
the original stock block, no balance shafts, ARP's, stock head gasket,
30 psi on VP C-16.

That's very impressive.

wow, i must say im impressed with it....im building basically a full out race car and was going to just go with no exhaust, but since i will occasionally be driving it on the streets maybe ill go with this so i wont have to unbolt and bolt up the exhaust everytime i wanna go out on the street.
