rajay t3t4??

im buying this 90 awd and the kid has a rajay t3t4 turbo he wants to throw in on the deal. my question is can some body tell me about this turbo by the numbers listed below. i looked for their web site and sites about them, i just cant find anyplace they sell them to find out the exact specs on this turbo, and thoughts on this turbo. its suposed to be brand new in box and i do have picts of it if necesary.

unfortunately, there aren't many people who have rayjay numbers tattooed to their brains, so you're better off taking the housings off and measuring the wheels and giving us the a/r's...

i wish i could but im buying this kids 90 gsx and he want to throw this turbo in the deal. thats the info he gave i do have picts but there not detailed at all. he doesnt even think it will fit on the car. so if its what i hope i will be getting a great deal. any genral info on these turbos would help to. or where they sell them. i cant find a thing accept genral info on their company and then still i cant find there pkone ##

and i forget , the kid lives 1.5hrs away and i havent seen the turbo yet, he says its new in the box, but the iinfo above is all he could give me,

it sounds like he is just trying to get rid of it, if it were me i'd get him to take 300 off the price of the car and keep the turbo...

whats the worst that could hapen, the wheels in the t3t4 be smaller than what i have in my 16g?would they sell a turbo like that?

does anyone know where they sell rajay turbos?

i searched yahoo and the only things I could find were aeromotive turbos and one specific turbo matching yours installed on a Datsun 510. Quote from the webpage

"This system was really primitive, used a Rajay 377b25 turbo adapted from a 1970 VW beetle turbo kit, a single bendix-zienieth carb that looks like it came from a lawnmower (motorcycle actually), stock L16 intake and exhaust manifolds and no wastegate. "

Sounds like this is an old school turbo, id tell him to keep it..

rajays can be a very mean turbo.
i built one with a f trim wheel
big nasty one, was designed to put out over 650 cfm
for a rajay thats pretty good

never put it on anything

they arent bad turbo's just won't work on a dsm due to cooling and oil lines

Oh shoot, notthe rare patented Rajay turbo with the R symbol, as in Type R..AHAH, tell him to keep it, more hassle than what it's worth.....

This would be an incorrect application.

T3/T4 is not how Rayjays are classified. It's more like an EE, EF, etc.

We have a variation of this model on my dad's Kawi Drag bike. 18psi, bike runs 8.40s. Rayjay is a great turbo for motorcycle and all draw through carb applications, because of the ability to run a carbon seal.

$300 would be a good deal for this turbo if it is in good shape, however I wouldn't put it on your car.

thanks that helpes alot , its brand new in a box but not a rajay box, maybe its already been rebuilt, but still wont bolt up to my ist gen talon,is it the exaust manifold it doesnt fit? ill try to get him to take it apart too see the size of the wheels. what would i need to make it work or is this turbo out of the deal..
