Well my friend got a '91 Talon TSi AWD, and we took the, what seems like 12 year old filter off of it, and i noticed a crapload of oil on the inside of the intake...

I know the line coming off the valve cover sends oil into the intake... but that much? I mean it was COATED... when i took my stock intake off, there was nothing... now i have it aimed down towards my tranny, and it still seems like nothing is coming out...

We aimed his down too...

Is mine clogged? or is his messed up?

Or it could be the oil seal's on the intake side of the turbo. This is a extream case, but i was driving and i heard a pop. Took the car home. i thought i blew the turbo. I got home, cause i was only a little bit away. there was about 2 liters of oil in the intercooler and piping. So much that my blow off valve was shooting oil out. the shaft was not broken, neither was the fins. did not have to much play either. just poped the oil seal. maybe yours is leaking. oh yah this was in my MK3 supra by the way.

No oil in the intake piping...

I just found it interesting that his would be coated... and mine would be dry... :)

mine will get oil all the way up to the tb elbow just from oil coming out of the vave cover vent. thus it is now dripping on the ground

so its ok to let that hose just drop?? sorry to sound like a newb, but i just use a fuel filter along the way, is that ok or not good enough in your opinions?

a K&N filter can cause it to be coated..all my friends cars and mine who have K&N's on our DSMs are coated..its from the oil of the K&N combined with everything else coming from the engine...

if this isn't true for all cars with K&Ns, my bad..its just what we've found

i have a 'dry' filter, but plenty of oil. I now use an inline fram fuel filter (like $2) to keep crap outta the valve cover and just put the hose on the end of that to let it drip
