so whats everyone opion for the 20g if u want a fast spool up and about mid 11's on the 1/4 mile. im thinkinig about buying one but everyone is telling me all these different types of clips. which is best in YOUR opinion for my application. And is external wastegate best? or should i get an l2r. IM LOST

i plan on:

660 cc injectors
AFPR
255 HP Walbro Pump
Greddy Large FMIC
Greddy Type-S BOV
AEM fuel rail
SAFC
62mm TB (or) 1g TB

with all those, how much psi would be safe to run the 20g at and how much HP would that bring me to...about. thanx!

Yes a 20g can go mid 11's...yes an L2R can go mid 11's...is this what you were looking for. You didn't tell us waht is important to you about a turbo. there isn't much to answer in your question, what turbo you get is soley up to you. The best way is to just call whom ever it is your interested in buying from and talk to them about their product.

I think that the L2R and 20g both have pretty similar spoolup. Ofcourse it depends on if you get things ported, get things clipped, use the td05/6 turbine wheels...etc but they are similar in spoolup, whereas the L2r seems to be a little more responsive inbetween shifts. We all knwo this comes at a higher price. You dont need internals if your goal is mid 11's as roughly 400whp could easily put you there. Other than this I cant really help. I dont know "your" application and I dont knwo what "clips" are either...

a few things..

Before you ask about a turbo READ THIS

http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12447

Next, you posted this at 9:43, and replied to yourself two times in the first hour on a Saturday night like everyone is waiting online to answer your question.. its called patience.. find it..

And lastly a bit of advice, if you want mid 11s get a turbo that can do 10s, dont expect to run mid 11s on the 20G or the L2R easily.

The simple answer - either one will get you there if you can drive and tune. As I mentioned in a response to one of your other posts similar to this one - the deciding factor will be to learn more about each turbo and that means contacting the vendors.

The only way you're ever going to run 11's is with extensive trial and error and a fat wallet. The turbo choice has little to do with it. A 20g or most any of the hybrids will give you the potential.

One reason you won't get an answer to this type of question right away is simple - the answer is very easy to find if look around a little bit before asking. I know I've answered it before many times - I even responded to one of your past questions which was basically the same as this one.

I know it's very easy to get excited about which turbo you're going to get later on down the road, but you must learn that any 20g turbo or larger will get you to the 11's - the real questions are: Budget? Streetability? Emissions? Spoolup? How much downtime can you afford? Are you putting money aside for broken parts? Are you a good driver already, and have you run 11's before? Do you know about the turbos you're asking about - flow rates, housing sizes, wheel size, etc? Once you've answered all those, choosing a turbo is an easy decision.

NO, tht is why people make internal gates for those turbos
You can run an internal gate on just about anythign now a days. If you plan on running lower boost levels then get an external...if your not a puss and are going to put your turbo to use and run the psi that its efficient at the by all means go ahead. Keep in mine that an external WILL perform better period but is more expensive
