6 bolt..

Hey, not exactly sure where to post this so i figure ill just post in in here. Anyways i have a 1G 6 bolt/14b turbo engine and transmission. They both have a 109,005 miles on them. The transmission had some work done by the previous owner but im not exactly sure what was done. Anyways my question is if I was to have it pulled out what would i be able to sell it for? The engine and transmission as a whole. The engine runs fine and has always used full synthetic. I just want an estimate because I will be pulling it and selling it and I want to know what price I should be looking to get. Also how much could I get for just the turbo? and how much for just the engine/transmission but no turbo? Sorry for the long post and if its in the wrong forum moderators please move it and thanks in advance to anyone that helps.

you thought wrong. should have given some more detail like the shape the engine is in...unless you're clueless, then like i said i'll buy it for $100 since obviously you don't know what you have there

If you want to be taken seriously, you might want to post this in the right forum. This is hardly advanced... This isn't even performance related...

i got a blown engine for 175 just for a junkyard blown motor.a full engine and tranny set-up hat works runs good and can go right in the car can go for about 5-600 $.ive seen them go for more.with what youve got id sell if for about $400-$450.that would be your best bet.


and as for the turbo,the guys i know personally at the junkyard buy me just sold a goot 14/b off the turbo 1g they had for like $500 by itself.depends on whos looking for it and how bad the person needs the part.i always use them as an example because they always have dsm's in the yard.turbos,n/t's,and everything else.use youe best judgement,what would you wanna pay for it.that way you know they other guy is getting a good deal and not gettin ripped on something you wouldnt even buy

Concidering your milage, assuming youve taking good care of the car, and "work on the transmission", I prolly wouldnt pay no more than $1K-$1200 for the full motor and tranny.

I purchased a 6 bolt (motor only), the head is brand new and the block has 60K miles on it (new bearings, rings, etc) and I was able to pick it up for $600 just to give you an idea.
