Would a sheet medal intake manifold be ok for daily driving? or would a extrude honed manifold be better. I will be running a L3R, BR stage 3 bottom end, and a BR stage 3 head with 272 cams.

There is no reason that a SM intake manifold would be bad for daily driving. The EH stock mani is a total waste of money I have a Venom and I think it will perform a lot better with minimal downsides.

Also look into the FRH cast intake manifold. www.automotosports.com has the write up on them. They've dyno'd it against most of the others out there. They showed awesome gains in top end power w/o the common loss in low end power normally found w/ almost all the sheetmetal intakes.

You have a track built engine, huge turbo, really agressive cams and your worried about the intake manifold?

Not the case with all the sheetmetal intakes out there. I can tell you that our 6" runner intake drives as well if not better than a stock one. Helps the velocity and flow out a ton over the stock one. A lot of time went into making all of the intakes we sell.

But then again who cares about daily driving. :D

hmm there might be a problem with emmisions, dont those intakes not include provisions for egr? could it be added. i would want to get a manifold too at some point if it coudl be truly daily driven.

oh... and is that a wood spacer block? i mean i guess it would insulate the manifold from the heat but... uhh? i dont know what to say

It's a phenolic spacer material. It insulates the head from the heat & They used it to tune the manifold for the desired powerband. & found that the 1" was the best I believe.

Polk.. I wasn't aware that you guys had a long runner manifold available. Would you be able to email me ([email protected]) some info on these & how you think they would compare w/ the Forrester piece?
