2G-specific 2g wont start. please chime in

ok, long story short, got a 95 gst that I had to pull the motor and rebuild it and now its back in the car. Now the car wont start. Its getting fuel, and spark, and I checked the timing to make sure it was ok BEFORE I put the motor in the car, but I dont think it changed but its something I havent checked yet. The car will crank over fine and sound like its gonna start but it dont. It has a 1g CAS on it so I am using a 6 bolt firing order, but maybe I have it mixed up. What is the firing order so I can be sure? What else could it be? Throw in your .02 cents guys. Its still a 7 bolt btw. please help guys, thanks in advance!

Put the wires like stock. And then go to the coil pack and take the first 2 wires off and leave them hangin there. Now take the last 2 wires and slide them over to the first 2 spots in the order they are in. And then take the first 2 you removed and slide them over to the last 2 spots in the order they are in.

Assuming you have the correct firing order, and you have already checked for spark and fuel the only other thing I'm thinking is perhaps compression. Have you done a compression check on the rebuilt engine?
