Glen Burnie / Balt,
Alright fellaz i found a great deal on some 18's. Now my only drawback is i have no clue how it will change my car's performance. So the ? is if i get bigger rims will it slow my car down and if so is it a really big difference. Also will it change my handling if so for better or for worse. last any guys that have went 18 if you regret for any reason. Thanks

18" rims are kinda rough riding because of the small sidewall of the tires. They also like to "swim" around the road because the tires are wider and ride on the ridges in the road instead of between them.
Yes they will slow your car down, rotating mass sucks. My old 17's felt alot faster.

Here is what I have to say about 18's. You set my 18's next to my stock 17's... same diameter. You lose tire weight, maybe gain some rim weight. To me , that much weight is not that critical to me at this point. Now if I were PRO, yeah I would probably think different. I ran a 12.5 with tuning still left to do in street clothes half tank and 18's.

They do ride different, they do swim a little like he said. But I like the way the 18's handle ALOT more than the 17's.

My .02

Why you sellin 98Tsi. You sizn up/down. or a new style rim?
