I am planning on rebuilding my 1g 4g63 engine and upgrading to a 16g or big 16g turbo, will the stock pistons and big rods be sufficient for this application? a rebuild kit is 500 w/ stock parts and seeing as how i am on a buget thats a lot cheaper than ross pistons...rods...etc..

any advice will be greatly appreciated!

a stock 4g63 is definately capable of holding the numbers that a 16g or big16g can throw at it. you may want to consider 2g pistons on your 1g rods, it is a higher compression and will help you out later on if you decide to upgrade your turbo again!:thumb:
good luck with the rebuild
