THis is how I read the post...

cheapturbo.com rules...

just like Cider House rules or NFL players handbook of rules...

Now I understand...

i ordered it right after x-mas, they told me when ordering that the .63 ar exhaust housing i wanted was on backorder from garrett untill aprox jan 15th. so i recived everything about 2 weeks earlier than expected. they sent me all the gaskets for the turbo and wastegate and also sent a huge garrett turbo wall calander for free. what a bunch of pimps!

not to badmouth anyone, because i have no experiance from this company, but it seems to me that a website that uses AOL for an email account and Yahoo! to sell product is a bit sketchy. I use AOL (unfortunately) but i am not hosting a buisness from it. I wouldnt expect to get any customer support from this place, and i hope that nothing goes wrong with your turbo because im pretty sure you will be SOL if that happens. But im glad you did get it in such a timely fashion. Good luck with the install.

I am confused! How can the same turbo from one garret reseller be better or worse than another?

Well if it's not an off-the shelf garret there machining could suck resulting in crappy turbo's that blow out after 300miles.

The turbos that cheapturbo sell are just complete assemblies straight from garrett. These are the same assemblies available elsewhere. If cheapturbo offers custom work (which I doubt) I would certainly prefer going somewhere reputable like AGP, FP, etc. But when it comes to off the shelf garrett assemblies.... a penny saved is a penny earned.

Then I agree I don't see a problem if there not custom.

I like the pricing a lot better than some others on the net. Some one help me out here. WHat is a better ar wheel for more power, .63 or .82? I'm looking into a T3/T40e combo with a 60 trim compressor wheel. Gimme some info please.

MJ

Actually i already called them back for some support, i had some tech questions on the installation. the guy was very knowlageable and helpfull. i would recomend these guys, they seem to know whats up. beats paying close to double the price for the same product elsewhere. so far i have spent:

$759 turbo and wastegate
$275 used turbonetics t3 mani
$50 fittings and lines for hookup
-------------
$1084 total

cheaper than a 20g with alot more options for expanding (plus an external gate!)

.63 will have better low-end spool, the .82 will take longer to spool but run like the wind up top. I cannot comment on specific RPM ranges. Much of that will depend on your setup, but perhaps some of the guys running 60-trim wheels can comment. I don't know too many people running 60-trim. The 60-1 is popular.

I have never heard anything bad about cheapturbo.com people over on the honda site. Many of them are running a turbo from them and so far none have failed. They have been around a while now. Check out honda-tech.com forced induction section for references. I would not worry about them.
