which downpipe to buy

i am planning on getting a downpipe and a testpipe within a couple of weeks and i was just wondering which downpipe is the best to buy.....

Iam using the PaceSetter Full 3in dp. I know i know. Pacesetter. But there products are pretty good now, and even the Diamond Star motor sports car use's this dp. Its full 3in un like alot of the dp out there. The quailty is very nice to. Just my 2 cents

I just got a 3" o2 eliminator DP with atmosphere dump tube from www.rnrracing.com and I highly recommend it.

not sure if my exhaust is three inches or 2.5........its a greddy sp but when i ordered it, it didn't say what size it was.........would it run weird if i got a 3in downpipe and go into a 2.5in exhaust.........

We could do either a 3" or 2.5" 02 elim downpipe. We could also sell you the cat elim. You can get the downpipe with either external or internal dump depending on how loud you want your car.

What'd the diff between the internal and external dump? What is being dumped? Wastegate? Sorry, very newbie question.

Internal mean the wastegate gasses are dumping back into the DP and external means the wastegate gasses are dumping to the atmosphere

I 5th the RnR-- I've got the 2.5" O2 Elim.

As far as the internal vs. external-- if you have to worry about emissions testing, the external is definitely not smog legal. And it's very loud when dumping. A good internal design will flow enough for ya.

We make our downpipes connect to whatever catback you already have. There is an small extra charge for the extrap piping.

i saw someone mentioned pacesetter.i wouldnt buy this again if you paid me.i have the whole setup from header back.it barely passes emmisions,sounds bad,and isnt very good at all.im switchin whenever i get the chance. and does anyone know anything about the apexi n1 downpipe.is it any good.ive been lookin at it for a while now i just cant find anyhing on it.

I have the apexi GT downpipe, same thing as n1 except its stainless.
It works good, bolts up fine. I have a rs*r catback so i don't know if its the catback or the dp but it has a nice tone. If i were to do it over again, I'd get the rsr dp. Its only 195 for stainless, 135 for regular

I got it for dirty cheap from a friend that sales parts. I payed 310cnd for it. My friend has the apex n1 dp. I find the quilty low. He broke a weld after only having it for a few weeks. I dont know about the pacesetter full system. But the dp is good

nah i have the n/t pace setter setup and its garbage.im switchin over to a turbo motor and i have to get a new exhaust with it because its obviously different.can i get a downpipe that will bolt up to a 3in cat.im not goin with a o2sensor and a downpipe so there 2 peices.but i wanna run a cat as well and jus swap it out with a rac pipe for track days.can i get a good downpipe that will allow me to do this

i think my exhaust is a 2.5 so i would have to go with a 2.5 downpipe too right.........

That would be best, yes. Going from larger to smaller isn't a good thing.

I'f I was you i would get the Apexi N1. I't will bolt to the exhaust and theres no cat involve. just a stright throgh dp. You and get the N1 in ceramic coat or the GT which is a little more thats SS.
