Hey guys,

I recently purchased a #482 MAF (3G MAF) on ebay and upon trying to remove the MAF from the airbox the "studs" that hold the MAF to the air box ripped the plastic tabs that keep them from spinning. I tried using vise grips to hold the stud but as i did this the vise grip snapped open right into the damn honeycomb bending it all to hell. My question is, is there a supplier for these honeycombs or am I screwed on trying to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Steve

I have never seen a replacement part for that, maybe you can fix it, could you post a pic of the damage?

Yeah I was thinking that bending it back might be my last resort since it may skew that air flow into the sensor. I cant post a pic right now as I am at work but i may be able to bend it back.

Depending on how crushed it is and how much paitence you have. You can try and straighten the H/C's by getting a allen wrench thats close to the size of the H/C'S and putting it in the holes.
Good luck with it.
