i got a blitz bov and i cant figure out how to remove the stock bov!! can anyone help???
 
I was going to answer but then it's been so long I can't remember.:cool:
 
first don't use the blitz BOV...that one is terrible for our cars...i had one on my GSX and couldn't stand it...

if you're installing this into and 2G it's not too hard...the only problem that i ran into was the upper ic pipe is a hard plastic, and dosen't tighten down very well onto the BOV flange...there are two clamps that you can remove, one's down by the upper ic pipe elbow where it's attached to the intercooler, and the other's up on the elbow where the pipe connects to the throttle body...if you rmove both of the clamps it's very easy to take the pipe off and remove the stock BOV...there's a rubber piece that fits around the stock BOV flange that goes into the pipe...try not to damage this cause you're going to need this for the other BOV...

the bad part about having the hard plastic is that cause you can't tighten the flange down, when you're pusing a lot of boost the BOV will just pop out and your car will stall...it's happened to my a few times...my advice is to get the GReddy or a stock 1G with an upper ic pipe...it'll be more functional and add horsepower...:dsm:
 
i got the thing on there, thanks for the help.
now is this suppose to make a whistling noise when ur givin it gas? mine makes a whistle noise then blows off when i shift
 
i got the thing on, now it whistles as i climb in rpms, then blows off
this what im suppose to hear?
 
ya the whistling is bad especially if its high pitched? i dunno that happenedto me for awhile until i tightened down all my pipes....
you should just repleace you upper i.c. pipe anyway...
