Quick question I just received these injectors reserviced and they have blue caps on them??Are they supose to be there or are they just there to protect the tip during shipping? Bc the ones that I took out does not look like that!

Is that glued on or does it come right off?

I've never seen the end of an injector look like that, so I would assume it's a shipping precaution... first injector condom I've ever seen.

EDIT: It also seems strange that it over reaches the o-ring so much, which wouldn't allow for a very good seal.

Well, for me, the blue isn't throwing me off. The "o-ring" on the pentil side is throwing me off. Those do not look like DSM injectors. . . They may fit just fine, but what size are those?

If the injectors seated inside the head properly and felt "snug" I would imagine that they're fine. If the fuel rail didn't bolt down properly then you probably have a problem. Since you said they were installed, I would guess they're ok.

They are for a 420a, not a 4g63. The 420a uses an oring on the bottom to seal them, not a big rubber grommet like the 4g.

AAH! thank you! you know then that I've never seen 420a injectors. I have to do a better job readin gprofiles before responding.

Ajax, just run a boost leak to see if the injectors are sealed correctly.
