Im sure everyone loves the sleek and sexy design of the DSM throttle cable. I have a 2G with cruise control. I have 2 questions:
1) My 2G is my DD and I plan on keeping my cruise control but has anyone relocated this huge, disgusting unit anywhere like the lower part of the firewall and just soldered and extended the wire harness? If not, I'm doing it asap and is there anything that I should watch out for? I know I might have some binding/sticking issues so I plan on buying some hallow tubing and bending my own cable routing so I can make some nice angles if i need to.
2) Why is this throttle cable going in this giant loop? I tried to rout it under my intake manifold but my pedal was sticking so I put it back on top. Why not go from the cruise control junction box to the underside of the intake manifold, to a little loop behind there and go to the throttle? We have tools at my work to make different cable lengths so is there some reason I can't also bend hallow tubing and make a smooth routing cable, hidden and still fully functional?
