pinhole in exhaust manifold big enough to cause problems

in the process of doing the seafoam treatment a pinhole in the top of my exhaust manifold started to bubble is a small crack like this enough to cause tuning issues? also will a tubular manifiold work with my fluidyne radiator?

Obviously any pre-turbo exhaust leak is going to adversely affect turbo spool and overall boost response but I doubt anyone can say how much this small hole/crack is affecting performance. But I would think that continued expansion and contraction of the manifold from normal use is only going to make the defect grow bigger over time so it would be a good idea to address it now. It is also releasing extra heat into the engine bay.

Romeen is defiantly right there. I had a hairline crack in my manifold and my engine bay was very hot because of it. It probably wont cause as much pressure released as you think but, over time as romeen said, it will grow.

thanks. my a/f ratio jumps between stable and not. one day it'll be between 10.4-11.8 at WOT and other days it'll there will only be a 0.1-0.2 difference.

Depending on the crack's proximity to the head, you can get it welded up to hold you over. Glad the seafoam worked out well for you. =)

i already ordered a new manifold from sbr. if its already cracking theres no saying when another spot will give out. doesnt help that it sat outside for 9 months while i was deployed. yea i stopped traffic on my little street this morning because of how thick the cloud was...oops...
