2g engine in 1G Talon???

I blew all my rods, threw my crank off its place, broke a valve that got nailed into my piston a quarter inch, and blew a chunk outta my block about 3 inches wide in which my rod is now sticking out of it. Result of letting my dad test drive my new ride I bought for $300.00. But to the stuff I need help answering. I have a 2G block and head fully ported/polished with a stock turbo, etc... that I want to put in my 93' Eagle Talon ES. My Talon is a FWD 5-speed, so is the new 2G block, which came from a FWD 95' GST Eclipse. I want to put this in my Talon, but am not sure about the engine mounting/fit. PLEASE HELP ME ANSWER THIS QUESTION!!!! Email to [email protected] or post a repsonse on if its been done or what needs to be done to fit it. Also, since my Talon was a Non-Turbo, is there a ECU/Wiring harness upgrade that is needed to be made etc??? All help is appreciated as I would like to get this car back on its wheels.

You could find a 90-91 turbo (awd or fwd) with a blown motor or high miles etc. for a grand or under. Take that 2g stuff you have and sell it and you could sell your NT for $100 or meat scraps whatever Then just rebuild your new car and it will be a h#ll of alot cheaper and ALOT less trouble then trying to swap a POS 2g motor in you 1g NT.

On 2G blocks, the engine mounts are on the tranny. On 1G blocks, the engine mounts are on the block. You will have to figure out a way to get rig both the front and rear mounts. Otherwise you will only have the sidemount and the tranny mount holding the engine in. Not good.
