Do I really need the stock boost Solenoid with an EBC?

Ok, first I should mention that I have a Greddy Profec type S boost controller. I was replacing my flywheel so I had to take alot of stuff off and noticed that the hose that goes to the "In" port on the electronic boost controller solenoid wasn't connected to anything. The "OUT" port is connected to the wastegate however. Is the "IN" hose supposed to be hooked up to something? Perhaps the stock solenoid? or something else?

If the Out port is connected to the wastegate then where's your EBC?

Once your EBC is installed you no longer need the stock BCS.

The EBC is inside the car. Cables lead from the EBC to the EBC boost solenoid. The "OUT" port on the selonoid is connected to the wastegate. The "IN" port hose isn't connected to anything.

There will be 3 ports on the EBC solinoid. I would assume the com port is also connected (if the EBC is working). You don't need both the in & out connected at the sametime they are used for different wastegate configurations & internal vs external gates. 99% of the time people disconnect the BCS once they have an aftermarket boost controller.
