Please SEARCH before asking questions

Seems like a lot of the topics are becoming repetative (newbie questions in particular), and people get really annoyed with this. Let's avoid the arguements and getting made fun of by searching before you post. The answer to your question may have been answered over 50 times already. If at last resort you can find the answer to your question, post it.

To those who don't care to search, prepare to be flamed, you deserve it. I'm sure no one here minds helping other out, just make sure that you've tried to find the answer and researched your situtation before asking.

Admin, this would probably make a great sticky. Doesn't look like you have it up there yet.

Its Chris’s perogative that we not tell people to use the search feature. That is the way he wants it.

Stick a big search button right in front of all new users as they are creating an account. And have something below that say use the search feature before asking a question, or be banned. Sounds good to me

Well you can but in a nice way.

I'm going to lock this thread before it gets into a search argument.

If you see some repeat questions don't answer them don't even post a reply saying search. With no replies a person may be inclined to look a little harder for the answer.

Link to the answer and explain how the info can be found quickly next time. Don't give any technical advice unless you have first-hand experience on the subject.

thats the philosophy here at tuners. If you dont have anything helpful to say then just dont reply. Someone else who doesnt mind answering will answer.
