I have a 1G GSX and I'm planning to get a 2G GS-T or GSX, my question is 2G turbos and smaller than there is on 1G-- am i right??? I found a turbo from the local junkyard same as my 1G turbo, what i'm going to do is rebuilt the 1G(14B) turbo that i found and put that turbo on the 2G GS-t or GSX--- I can do that right?, please gimme more info.
 
You can buy a 14B, bebuild it, and install it on a 2G, but you're going to need a 2G 16G install kit. You can get the kit from several of the vendors. However, it might be easier, and more econimical/efficient to simply upgrade the 2G t25 to a T28. Several of the vendors, such as DSM-Performance have T25 upgrade packages that rebuild and upgrade the T25 so that it flows as much or more than a 16G. Just an idea... Let the forum know what you decide to do.
 
Although if you do install a 14b on a 2g using the install kit you will not need one again if you want to upgrade to a 16g,Big16g, or a 20G.

which one do you think is better , rebuilt 14B on a 2g or upgraded t25?? which one has more horsepower?? can i just buy a t3/t4 with custom manifold and do the piping by my self??
 
Woah...comparing a 14B to a t3/t4 is like apples and...
You're going to need some serious supporting mods before you slap a big garrett on there...

If I had a stock 2G, and I wanted to keep it simple and easy, I would upgrade the T25.

As far as horsepower potentials... from lowest: T25, 14B, small16G, FP28, Big 16G, 18G, 20G, T3/T4, etc... Thats a basic scale, of course there are lots of garrett combinations, mutts, franks, etc that fit in there somewhere. With anyhting bigger than a 16G you'll need more fuel, and maybe a fuel controller, etc...
