:dsm: Hey there, I was just wondering what kind of horsepower gains am i going to get out of a manual boost controller by raising the boost to about 15-16 psi vs stock. And by the way. what is the stock psi for my car. I have been debating wether or not to just buy a new turbo or just a manual boost gauge. I am on a tight budget, and i just want a little more out of the car for a reasonable price. Someone told me that a manual boost gauge would be the way that i would want to go. So i was just wondering what kind of power gains i would expect to see of of just a boost gauge and nothing more.:dsm:

you need a boost controller of some sort. if you are going to get a bigger turbo you are REALLY going to want a boost controller. i would suggest get the boost controller and boost gauge(the stock one is just there for looks IMO). don't turn boost higher then 15-17 psi. you can damage something. you will be able to tell a difference from 12 to 16, i'm not sure of exact horsepower though. hope this helps in some way.

I had an idea to not go anything over 16 for what i have got. But how much of a horsepower gain am i going to get just buy turning up the boost.

Hey man dont be offended it's just that when you are on here alot stuff seems to get repeated over and over again. Also the beginner forum probably would be the best place for this post, But hey I can help you out. First of all Once again I have to say that all cars react a little differntly to certain mods especially when it comes to boost. But its safe to say about 6 to 9 hp per 1psi of Boost. Depending on supporting mods of course. The only way to be 100% sure is to strap on the dyno. well hope this helps.:thumb: :dsm:
