Anyone know where I can get my hands on some flanges to make a manifold? I need the 4 bolt flange that bolts to the hotside of the turbo, and also the 02 hosuing flange as well...

Thanks guys

PM a guy on here called L98guy. He made both my throttle body flange and my O2 housing flange. I sent him a template for my O2, and he sent me back a perfectly matching flange. He does good work and is very reasonable, much cheaper than RRE.

Today I was rewiring the CAS on my car, I had the wire diagrams for a 1G cas in a 2G printed from Magnus Motorsports site. I remember thinking how greatful I am we (DSMers) have such awesome vendors with so much knowledge avail from them, to us, for free. I remember thinking I am glad I use and buy parts from these vendors and I hope they never go out of buisness so other people always have access to all the info these vendors post on there sites for us to use, for free. RRE is one of these awesome vendors...
Support our vendors so they keep supporting our hobby. Besides RRE's prices for flanges are pretty good and everything you get from them will be right and top notch.

We are not talking about a turbo or engine internals, we are talking about flanges. If someone can custom make one to MY specs for cheaper than I can get one from a vendor, why would I not save a few bucks? The flange from RRE would not even work for what I wanted without a lot of modification any way, so I see no argument here.

jking29, you missed the point but that is ok... no one is trying to argue... just throwing in my .02. Have a good night!

Why wouldn't the RRE flanges work?

Because I am running a 50mm external off of the O2 and needed the flange to have a 2" round wastegate port. With the custom flange I was able to move things around and get everything centered exactly where I needed it so I could port the turbine housing to match.

I don't think I did miss the point. I have supported more than a few of the sites vendors...JNZ, Extreme, FFWD, etc.. My point was not that you shouldn't use them, it was that on non-critical items I would try and save myself a few bucks when possible. I also believe it is a good idea of supporting other members of this site, especially when they are willing to do custom work for a reasonable price. After all, someone had to be the first to come up with new designs for things. Thats how innovations come about and continues the pursuit for more speed, power, etc.. If everyone just sat back and ordered what the vendors were willing to sell, where would we be? I am just trying to look at what you said from a different perspective, not to argue. Thats what makes this country great, everyone can have their own opinion.:thumb:

If you dont' mind me asking, why such a large wastegate on a bolt-on turbo? I ask as the wastegate passage diameter is nowhere near that size so would be a restriction (don't think you could even machine it out to 50mm without boring thru the housing or severly compromising it's structure).

And I thought I was the big O2 wastegate guy with my 44mm Tial ;)

I am running a 50mm to be able to control boost completely whether I am on the bottle or off. I want to be able to hold 22lbs either way. Actually the turbine housing can be ported to match it without affecting it structurally too bad. When I am at home (at work now) and I get a few extra minutes in the next couple of days, I will post up pictures of my turbine housing post-porting.
