I just bought a 97 Eclipse GS-T and i have some questions?

1. I have a 10,000$ budget, will i have enough to hit mid-11's in a 1/4 mile and to have good suspension in a track?
2. How much should i rev for a 1/4 mile launch with normal tires and drag radials?
3. Will I have problems after installing proper turbo upgrades, fuel sytem upgrade, ecu upgrade, internals?

before you read my reply understand im not being a dick, im telling you this for your own good..

1) Anything is possible and yes on a 10,000 budget im sure you could make a mid 11 second GST.. would it be easy, no but is it possible.. sure..

2) Launching point in a GST is something that no one can really explain to you as everyone has their own method.. It also depends heavily on your setup as what you have may be different then what I have and will affect the way the car launches.

3) Simply yes you will.. DSMs are not known for reliability.. Dont expect to build a 11 second GST without having another car to drive as your daily driver.

And the dickish part.. please read up on the site.. I suggest reading the tuning guide at the top and just the forum in general as there is ALOT of info here to be found and your questions were very very general questions that could have been answered with just a lil of your own research.

These cars are great fun (as long as you consider fixing things fun too, hehe), and have a huge lot of potential :) Welcome to the club.
I'm sure a lot of people here wish they had a 10K budget for these cars :) There's so much you could do with that.

there is indeed alot you can do with that kind of money. but you indeed better have something else to drive. in a perfect world you won't have any problems....you can spend less than 10k to get to where you want. I suggest you'd save the remainder for repairs....not to sound like an @ss, but eclipses as we know it isn't greatly reliable.......but good luck, I hope ya get what you want without any problems.

From my personal expierience I would suggest having a 6-bolt engine handy incase of crankwalk. Of coarse you may not get crankwalk, but I did at 120k miles. Atleast save some money just incase.

bah, sell the gst and get a gsx. then just follow the stage 2 tuning guide... get bigger everything... and you should be fine...

or you could just get a 300shot of NAWZ!

Thanx for the help Guyz! I think I will spend no more than 7 grand since that takes care of evrything, I want my car to be a daily driver so i'll go for mid-12's instead of 11's..... I wish there were GSX's in my country!
