Does anyone have a digital a/f guage? Not one of those blinky light ones, but numbers to read (volts). I just installed one, and everything was hooked up correctly. When i go WOT, i get a reading of like .05 or .07 or somthin like that. Shouldnt it be reading .7 or .8 ( anything higher than .06). I have the stock fuel system still and most of the main supporting mods. Any input?
 
you should be at least above .85 if you are at .05 at wot something is broken or wired wrong
 
I wired it exactly the way it said too. I hooked the red up to the power, the blue up to the o2 sensor wire on the ecu, and the black to the ground.
 
What brand/model do you have? Does it display the 1.** maybe its reading just over 1 volt? I don't know but I think O2 replacements should be done every 60k miles right?
 
pull your o2 and test it or go to the store and pick up a new one for like $70 and wire it in in about 20 mins.
Are you sure you tapped the right wire on the ecu??
 
Yeah, im sure that the connection is right. I checked it again to day at WOT, and i was getting like .011v or something like that. I think i might get one of those autometer blinky ones just for now.
 
Oh yeah, is the reading comming from the o2 sensor on the o2 housing or in the exhaust?
 
Im replacing the o2 housing w a ported 1, so would you think that i should get a new o2 sensor if its giving me readings like that.
 
Are you tapping the wire at the ECU? I just recently installed my digital A/F gauge. The wire you need to tap is on the top wiring harrness on the ECU. there will be 3 white wires right next to each other, tap the middle on.
 
I used the RRE installation guide for the a/f gauge install. I hokked it up to the harness all the way to the right, top row, and 6th from the left. If any of that is wrong, please tell me.
 
If you have a wide band computer setup from any particular company you can get a Honda Civic VX (the Super low emissions) O2 sensor. They have a 5 wire wide band o2 sensor built into them, however you must have a proper wide band reading device to use it.

Our shop has an FJO wide band and we use the VX O2's all the time on cars. We just weld in an extra o2 bung so you can goto the dyno and not remove one of your own o2 sensors or drive around and street tune your car datalogging your a/f with a proper reading (11.6:1 or whatever) and tune your S-AFC or AFR and get proper tuning.

Do a search on FJO it's a pretty cool device. You can hook it up to a simple read out or to a lap top. That's a real A/F reader not those one's that hook up to a standard o2 sensor. Their about as acurate as Mitsu's alignment of the 2G barring caps.
