boost creep?

i ported my 14b and ever since then i have been gettin high boost around 22 pounds wen i have set it to 15 pounds.. can this be boost creep?

Depends on a few different things there man. Boost "creep" means that even when you set the boost lower, it won't stay there, and it "creeps" up. If you ported your 14b, and then didn't turn down your boost, then no, your boost is now set too high, and you have to turn it down.

Porting the turbo will make it boost more easily, so if you keep the boost controller the same, it'll make more boost (depending on the type of boost controller). So, turn down your boost, and you should be fine.

and if it does end up being boost creep then you should port out your o2 housing and that should help alot of your creep issues as well.

U think its really worth it getting a ported 2g 02 vs. a ported 1g?

opening up your O2 housing will help a little, but often it wont cure the problem. many need to port out the WG passage and install the 34mm flapper door to really cure the problem.

Be careful, 22psi can kill an engine quickly if you dont have the supporting mods.

I installed a test pipe and started creeping from 18 to 20psi. Damn the luck...I'll be getting a 3" O2 eliminator exhaust soon...maybe that will help.

ta i dont kno if its my boost controller thats deffective.. i ported my 14b,o2 housing(just cleaned the wg port) and ported my manifold i took my time in doin this and made sure everythign was done right...now wat do u guys think???
