Before I start, please no "Why COP?" replies. I am looking for an answer, not your opinion.

I have a simple question. Has Anyone running the 300M coils had a problem with the plug boots being too long? I made my template today and went to test fit it. The coils stuck up about the plate about a 1/2 inch. I pushed down on the plug boot, and it is down as much as it will go.

Any ideas.........besides get rid of it.

I've always just seen them with the boot trimmed shorter. Just cut off a little bit at a time till it fits right.

Thats what i was thinking, but i wanted to hear from someone before i went and started cutting

Check out the picture. If you cut them on the bottom, the flexible rubber gets removed and the boots no longer want to go on the spark plugs. The best way is to cut them right above the rib in the boot, then adjust the length of the spring to suit. This way the boots come on/go off the plugs easily and everyone is happy. This comes from the experience of making over 20 kits.
