I have AEM standalone and MSD DIS-2 installed on my car... and since its been installed I have no function of my stock tach. The shop who installed everything said there needs to be an addapter that needs to be installed in order to have the stock tach function, is this true? I have the MSD in my glove box and theres a Red wire with a slip connection that comes from the engine bay and then there are 3 wires comming off the msd box the addaptor is susposed to connect those together is there a way it can be run without it? Any info would help thanks!

yes, you need the tach adaptor, it says right in the dis-2 instructions at the end of the booklet.
8912 is the part number, and hook that up. easy 2 minute stuff
