new SAFC2 took a crap

It only has like 5 miles on it, it worked and everything was good, I was letting the car warm up before I drove home from work, and my SAFC2 just shuts off, I disconnected and reconnected all of the plugs, but now it just wont turn on, it doesnt work- what a waste of $200- I should have gone DSMlink!- But I couldnt afford it.
What could cause this- and is there a possible fix?

take a volt meter to the power wire and see if it's getting power. Maybe you blew a fuse?

i dont have any ideas on your problem.. but i do want to say this.. (not going to hijack, but had a question) i just installed mine, in the center dash with the vents removed. and i am getting feedback through my fm radio (Aftermarket sony) it doesnt do it with a cd, but some FM stations do it.. its hard to explain, but has anyone else had this same thing? i agreen with phunny, check your connections... maybe the grounds came loose, or something simple like that.. hard to believe it would go bad that fast.. good luck

Did you sodder (sp.) the connections, or just take electrical tape to them?

I did however use the electrical tape- but I female/male butt connected each one, no soldering, - I had mine in the center vent too- however, I never had a problem with the stereo.
