i recently purchased the msd superconductor wires for my 1990. my question is when i accelerate, one or two of my wires pop off, does anyone know why this happens?

my plugs are tight, not loose. usually only one wire pops off, but sometimes its more than one

my plugs are new, they are denso iridiums, what is dielectric compound?

it's a grease that reverses electric fields in it's presence...I'm not sure if that would help you though. I would try to 'tighten' the ends of the wires that pop off by squeezing them a little at a time until they are tight. Mine were popping off at the coil and this fixed them.

mine are popping off at the plugs, is the dielectric compound that jelly stuff?

Try running stock plugs..... NGK BPR6ES's (or NGK BPR7ES's if your running 17+psi)...... I'm wondering if your problem has something to do with the aftermarket plugs you are running.

Keep in mind that your car was not designed to run that kind of plug, which will effect it's preformance in a negative manner.

my friend has the same wires as me but with bosch platinum plugs and his wires pop off too

ill try those out and see what happens

Alright, as long as the wires were designed for your kind of car specifically, and your pushing them down all the way when putting them on.... they should not pop off once you have the correct plugs in.

they are still popping off

Do you have a digital camera? If so can you take pictures of before and after they pop off?

How tight are the wires? (is there any tension on them?)

Are you 100% posative that the wires you got are designed specifically for your application?

I have never heard of this before... pretty odd.

mine came off at the coils until I tightened down the 'clip' part. Just a tolerances issue, I think
