Cv-joint boot

I was rotating my tires yesterday and noticed that the boot on the
cv-joint was ripped in half leaving all the internals exposed. You guys think that will eventually become a problem?

IF you leave it go too long and it gets dirt and #@%#@%#@%#@% in there you might as well start looking for a new axle

i have that prob mine clicks really bad when i turn. get it fixed while you still can.

Yeah while putting on my exaust on my car i noticed that my left front cv joint boot had duct tape on it. It was comeing off a little. My car also makes that ticking sound sometimes when i take off while turning. Its been like this for like 2 months i guess. Do you think it is ruined? Also how hard is it to replace the boot? And if it is to hard do you know how much it usually cost to have a shop do it?

Its not that hard..more time consuming than anything..if i remember right there is a hot-to on the vfaq page....and if you dont feel like doing it at all like me because im a lazy shít..you can get new axles all together for about 60-70 bucks per side if you turn in your old ones..that way there isnt a core charge...check auto zone or advanced to see what they charge for that...thats the route im going to take..good luck either way
