i was looking at the darkside racing intercooler in ur tuning guide and was wondering if any one has ever bought anything from them (like there intercooler). i like the looks but i don't know of anyone that has bought high $ stuff from them (the intercooler). thanks for any response

yea i bought there intercoolers. its a shitty ass design. they weld 3.5 inch endtanks to a 3" core. the welding is tacky and $hi^^y as hell. the core is junk and the weld is crap. stay away from them far away. get a FMIC from adfx, pwr intercoolers, ams, rnr, or diamond star motorsport.
ohh yea and if you order one expect to get it in 2 months. they make them when you pay for them and they LAG a grip.
DSR can suck a FAT ONE !

A friend of mines placed an order for their intercooler a while ago. Took over two months to come and the kit looks like crap. You get what you pay for

Try searching around on dsmtuners or dsmtalk. There are a lot of bad stories of the guy. I think there is also a post on dsmtrader.com about the guy ripping people off.

Who knows.

I read all of these before ordering a 20g from them, and picked up the phone and talked to them about the stories....hearsay doesn't stand in court, so why beleive everthing you hear on forums. If anyone DOES search, there are threads supporting them as well. I have not received my turbo yet, but their communication is excellent, and I am not worried.

blah i dont like darkside racing FMICS. you have to wait forever and you get a starion fmic (well not really but it sux on the level of one) i suggest going to www.rnrracing.com IRC RACE CORE KITS for 960. thats only 60 more dollars then DSR's kit and ill gaurentee that RnR Racings kit is 500% better then DSR's kit. proven on a spearco 2-216 core that has gone well deep into the 9's. havent heard anyone pimping the DSR core that is fast at ALL !!!

Show me pressure drop #s. Or facts of any sort, for that matter. I like RnR products just fine, but your post is pure speculation. You do realize a Starquest IC flows only a bit more than a factory SMIC, yes?

i agree with everythign lando with everythign he is sayin dsr intercoolers are good and its proven they had a project car with their own intercoolers they ran low 11's with no problems no one talks how bad victory intercoolers are but they are a hassel to put on due to bad piping give dsr some credit their not as big as some of these other intercooler companys

all I have to say is WOW! We had a little bit of a problem when we first started as a company but that was over a year ago due to supplier issues and getting screwed because I was new to this business. Didnt know exactly what I was doing. Look at anyone that is unhappy and it was a very long time ago. I will be sending LandoAWD's turbo setup out tomorrow and I will ask him to post pics of what he received for $1,250 which i think is a killer deal for a 20G Turbo Ported, Tial 35mm External Wastegate, and 2G manifold ported with the external flange mounted.

and TurboAWD92GSX: you can say what you want Manny but you were the one ripping people off and giving us a bad name. You can search around the board and everyone will see that you are notorious for ripping people off... I try my best to give everyone the best prices and the best deals and have gone out of my way to help people. I am tired of people like MNanny trying to rip people off and then place blame on us.. Manny seems to forget that the reason he waited 2 months for the intercoolers is because he didnt have enough money to pay me in full so he had to pay me in payments. The order started off as 13 intercoolers for the San Diego Club DSM and turned out to be only 3 thank god I did not order 13 cores or i would have been screwed.

And when you say that we havent had any DSM in the 9's with our cooler you are correct. But we do have an S2000 in the low 11's, Supercharged Mustang running 8's and various other DSM's running our cooler that have run very low elevens. There are far and few DSM's that are in the 9's but it wont be long til there is one running our intercooler at that level. I will post some pics of the full intercooler kit in a few days when i get the piping back from being powdercoated. thanks

actually i was basing my information from ken bacon. he said your intercooler core is a joke. there is a reason he uses spearco cause i did ask ken he whats the difference between your race core and dsr's race core and he said our race core doesnt suck. hey joshua if your intercoolers are so great try posting some flow charts or something. two welded together twin stock sidemount intercoolers have gotten into the 11's big deal if your intercooler is in the 11's too. shows some flow charts and prove us all wrong.

So you have no experience with their product? Nuff said.

I purchased DSR 550s from Dark Side Late monday night and I recieved them this morning (thursday). I've also bought a borla catback through them as well. I will also be purchasing a clutch through them as well. All in all, I have no complaints with these guys.

There are always two sides to a story, and the only side ANYONE EVER wants to hear about Dark Side is the one from the dick who had a bad expierence that was his fault!! Come on....what's the deal with that?
