Ok, i'm still searchin for a DSM and it seems like all thats for sale around here is autos. I kno they got a smaller turbo but i figure i'll swap that out anyway so that shouldnt be a problem. same thing with the injectors. So i'm wondering how big a deal it would be to do a manual swap (costs), and any other differences i need to take into consideration. thanks. Also, if any1 has any opinions on buying a car that was wrecked and rebuilt, i'd welcome any input on that.

Not worth the hassle, time, or money. If you want a 5-speed wait and get a 5-peed. Don't **** up a perfectly good A/T, just because you don't want an A/T. You do realize that an A/T is just as fast as a M/T with very little mods tothe tranny. About 2-3 G's less then a A/T-M/T swap.

Not worth it. Save your money and build and have level 10 build a tranny for you. We have a guy in our club who is running killer times in his 2g gsx auto with a tranny built by them. Alot of people ask to do the auto to manual swap all the time so here are some conflicts:

Smaller Injectors
smaller turbo
buying flywheel
buying clutch kit
buying shift cables
buying clutch hydraulics
modifying your dash for shifter
modifying your floor for pedals
if you have an AWD, then you have to change your rear dif because its a different ratio

There are more but i just cant remember right now.
Hope this helps.
