GT High Flow Manifold

While I was replacing my exhaust manifold gasket I realized I have 2 big cracks in my exhaust manifold. I figured that explained the loud whistling turbo noise my car was making. Now its time for me to buy a new manifold. I am on a budget so any way I can save money is a plus. I was on dsmparts.com and I found this:

It claims to flow better than the evo 3 and a ported 2g manifold.

Any opinions or comments on if it's a good buy?The price is reasonable.

While i don't have any personal experience with it, judging by the info/pictures on Turbochargers.com it is bigger then a 2g Manifold. Its also only 149$ SHIPPED there, go check it out. http://www.turbochargers.com/Turbos/TurboUpgrades/evomaniflod.htm

If you need to buy a new manifold, i don't see why not give it a try for 150$ you can't really go wrong.

The people that manufactured the "evo gt" turbo must have made the manifold also. I would be willing to try the manifold alot more than the turbo. Very good price I must say.

IMO it looks pretty good I'm going to order mine from turbochargers.com its says that it has extra nickel in the cast so it sould be alittle stronger. Im going to get mine jet hot coated and call it a day..I will post a review as soon as I get it.

I don't know cough cough first generation cast manifold cough cough.
But if the review makes this out to be a quality piece, I'll definatley pick one up for myself, especially at that price.

Only MITSUBISHI can screw up a cast manifold. I couldnt believe how many cracks were on mine...geez...

anyway, looks like ill probably be getting one of these when i depoit my paycheck, either that an ostrich Ill let everyone know about it if i get it.

Just out of curiosity.....does this bolt up to a T-25? do you have to port the turbo, or will this match up as-is? I may need to replace a cracked manifold and this looks like a good buy for a stock gsx that will be adding some bolt-ons soon!

I don't have the slightest idea on what kind of quality the "GT" manifolds are. Right now PINA motorsports is selling EVO III manifolds for 160 bucks, not a bad deal I'd say. www.pinamotorsports.com

It will bolt up to a t-25, you would also have to port the turbo to match up to this manifold.

I bought one of these too and they look really good. I like that it is pretapped for an egt probe. You can't beat the price. They included turbo bolts and a gasket.

I have a 92 AWD turbo. I bought the manifold and it didn't fit. you need to grind part of it to get it to fit on hte right side

Fairly easily if its not cast with the right materials. With all the heat that the exhaust manifold see's, they will crack very easily if their not made from the right materials. Even the first cast SBR manifolds (like the first 10 or something) weren't made properly and people were seeing huge cracks, in a fairly short amount of time as well.

i would like to see pix of the evo3 and GT mani next to each other to fully compare. how are they getting the prices this low. i'm really considering that evo mani for 160 unless some1 can prove that the GT is a better product.

It will bolt up to a t-25, you would also have to port the turbo to match up to this manifold.

Yup. It fits the t-25. I Got mine and bolted it right up, but one of the exhaust manifold studs backed out of the head so I have to take it off again. I was just about to take the car out for a spin.

Anyway, the manifold comes with a 3 layer 7cm gasket.You might as well port the turbo if you can.

Less expensive is the word.

I remember slowboy claiming they had some casting imperfections with their first batch of manifolds that lead to the runners cracking easily, I hope this one doesn't experience the same issues.

It's definitely a great bang for the buck tho, turbochargers claims its a ported manifodl whenin reality, it's just a cast version of a ported mani.

BAh!!!!! Grinding sucks, I just bought mine and it doesn't fit! Oh well I got the tools. But it only takes 5 minutes to mill that off. Damn Machiners! Did you notch the side or grind the whole side? Hrmm wonder how much to leave from exhaust openings.
