Boost Creep!!!!!!

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me why i get boost creep?!?! it's a 98 talon with a ported 14b turbo. only running stock boost right now.... (10psi), but it creeps to 15-16 at around 5000rpm. any ideas??? thanks for the help all!

Could be O2 housing if its not ported...stock exhaust? Those can play a role in creep.

my 02 housing is ported! along with my exhaust manifold and exhaust housing. i heard that maybe the vacuum line has a role to play in it. ???? any ideas?! also....... where should i have my wastegate vacuum line running from??( from the wastegate to where??) thanks for the help.

possible you Mbc do you have a long line to the wastgate ? shorten it as much as possible to the Mbc. hope that works

right now i don't have a boost controller on the car.... i have my vacuum line T'd into the line from the intake manifold. it is the vacuum line for the BOV! now i DONT have a line running to the boost solenoid! should i run my MBC in between the boost solenoid and the wastegate????? that would be the shortest route!!!!!! thanks all

It doesn't sound to me like you have a boost creep problem . It sounds like you have a lack of boost control problem . With my 95 GST , my manual boost controler would not work in conjunction with my boost control solinoid well at all . What I did is totaly
bypass the BCS . I have the boost source from the intake manifold & from my compressor bypass valve go to one "T". The
third nipple has the vacume line that goes to the wastegate accuator. It is this line
(from "T" to accuator) that I have the MBC
in line . Now my boost is rock solid .
Hope it works out ... I have an old motor that has several LARGE holes on both sides of the block (you can see straight through the block on Cyl.#1) that will attest to the dangers of lack of boost control.
